You have been told you need to give a presentation at work in front of 100 people. Immediately, you start thinking of what could go wrong. Forgetting your lines, not knowing how to stand and the thought of freezing. Do not fear! Public speaking can be done well and can also be something you look forward to if you know how to do it correctly.

  1. Plan real speech – Relevant, Eloquent, Articulate, learned.
  2. The importance of the title
  3. What to include – Insights, facts and figures, edit and re edit, www and relevance.
  4. Kiss and tell preparation – Keep it simple and tell what you are going to do.
  5. Rehearse and relax the evening before.
  6. Exude confidence and put your hands at your side.
  7. Maintain constant audience eye contact.
  8. Add the occasional pause for effect.
  9. Go through your structure as a story as it adds authenticity.
  10. Finish on a strong statement.

  2. A verb at the start of the sentence.
  3. Use adjectives and a metaphor.
  4. Present as a story to keep content engaging.
  5. Make geographical/ historical references.
  6. Witty quotes.
  7. Use contrasts.
  8. Repetition and Alliteration.
  9. Add attention seekers and 3 part lists.
